Period of stay and length of stay: summer semester 2024/25 (16th January – 30t May)
Number of scholarships: 4 students per semester
Who can apply: Students of 1st degree and long-cycle master’s degree (after completing the 1st year of studies) as well as students of 2nd degree
Eligible units/fields of study: addressed to all faculties

Financial conditions:

  • Tuition fee will be waived by the host institution.
  • Costs of visa, tickets, insurance, handbooks, costs of living and accommodation are covered by a student.

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit – at least 3,49;
  3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution;
  4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.
  5. Certificate/proof of the Spanish language skills – a language certificate or a document issued by the UW Centre for Foreign Language Teaching or by the lecturer conducting the language class – at least B2.

Remarks:

  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
  • Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).
  • UdG offers programmes in Spanish (link). Courses in English are available only in CUSUR (Ciudad Guzmán), CUCS and CUCEA (link) and Global Politics and Transpacific Studies (master programme link)
  • Students can choose up to 8 courses per semester. They must be taken in one Centro Universitario (CU) in one single semester.
  • Nominated students will be required to provide UdG with the following documents by 16/11/2024: a passport scan (the document must be valid for the entire period of stay in Mexico); CV (in Spanish); cover letter (in Spanish); recommendation letter from a lecturer or the unit authorities (may be in Spanish or English); a Transcript of Records signed by an authorized person in the unit and stamped (in English); other documents required by universities.

Application deadline:  Monday 4th November 2024, until 12:00 pm Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents; subject: Mexico – UdG – summer semester 2024/2025) shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
