Number of scholarships and length of stay: 2 one-semester scholarships

Who can apply: undergraduate and unified master’s students (completed first year of studies required), graduate students*

Period of stay: summer semester 2024/25

Eligible units/fields of study: all

Financial conditions:

  • Students are exempt from tuition fees at the host university.
  • Visa, travel, insurance, study materials, subsistence and accommodation costs are paid by the student.
  • Exchange students at Soongsil University have a D-2 visa and must have two insurances: Korean National Health Insurance and Private Insurance.

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit (minimum 3,49);
  3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution and indicating the chosen unit at the host university;
  4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.;
  5. Certificate/proof of the language skills: English – at least B2 level.

  2. Housing Application Form
  3. Official Academic Transcript
  4. Statement of Purpose
  5. Copy of identity page of Passport
  6. Recent Color Photo (JPG File)
  7. Release from Responsibility, Assumption of Risk, And Waiver
  8. (For some students) Financial statement and apostilled enrollment certificate

Remarks:

  • * Limited offer of English taught courses in graduate level, Master students can take courses from Bachelor’s degree level.
  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
  • Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • The documents required by the foreign university should be submitted by the nominated student to the SSU online registration system by 11.2024. Please do not send the documents listed as required by the foreign university to IRO UW.
  • Additional information will be sent to nominated students.
  • Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).

Application deadline19 September 2024, until 23:59 Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
