Number of scholarships and length of stay: 4 one-semester scholarships

Eligible units/fields of study: all

Financial conditions:

• Students are exempt from tuition fees at the host university.
• Visa, travel, insurance, study materials, subsistence and accommodation costs are paid by the student.

Required documents:

1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit (minimum 3,49);
3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution and indicating the chosen unit at the host university;
4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.
5. Proof of English proficiency English at least B2 level (TOEFL iBT: min. 79, TOEFL PBT: min. 550, IELTS: min. 6.0).
6. Statement of financial resources in the amount required by the partner university (HK$10839 x number of months of stay).

Documents required by the foreign University – list and forms as indicated in the Student Exchange Programme Quick Reference Guide:

1. Original copy of the o­fficial transcript in English or Chinese;
2. English language proficiency proof;
3. Three passport size photos;
4. Two copies of passport page (with personal particulars; the passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the student’s intended stay in Hong Kong.)
5. For students from Mainland China, Macau and Taiwan, please also attach copies of the identity documents, e.g. identity cards, census papers, etc.
6. Evidence of the student’s financial standing in English or Chinese.

Remarks:

• The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
• Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
• Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
• Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
• The documents required by the foreign university the nominated student should submit by 15/10/2024 through the HKBU application system. The link will be made available to nominated candidates.
• Additional information will be sent to nominated students.
• Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).

Application deadline: 27 August 2024, until 23:59 Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
