Number of scholarships and length of stay: 2 one-semester scholarships

Who can apply: undergraduate and unified master’s students (completed first year of studies required), graduate students

Period of stay: summer semester 2024/25

Eligible units/fields of study: all*

Financial conditions:

  • Students are exempt from tuition fees at the host university.
  • Visa, travel, insurance, study materials, subsistence and accommodation costs are paid by the student.

Required documents:

  1. Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator;
  2. Certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit (minimum 3,49);
  3. Motivation letter justifying the choice of the receiving institution and indicating the chosen unit at the host university;
  4. Curriculum Vitae including information on academic achievements, distinctions, awards etc.;
  5. Proof of foreign language proficiency as required by the partner university (according to information available at HUFS website);
  6. Statement of financial resources as required by the partner university (minimum KRW 1,700,000 for each planned month of stay).

Documents required by the foreign University ((according to information available at HUFS website):

  1. Printed version of Online Exchange Application form;
  2. 1 brief essay of personal history and plan of study;
  3. 1 copy of academic transcript;
  4. 1 certificate of current enrollment at home University (with Apostille or Korean Consular confirmation for Non-OECD applicants);
  5. 1 copy of evidence of proficiency in English language or reference letter if applicable
  6. 1 copy of evidence of proficiency in English language or reference letter if applicable;
  7. 1 copy of the information page of passport;
  8. Dorm application form;
  9. Health examination form (Dorm applicants only);
  10. 1 color photo with white background (.jpg format, 3×4 cm);
  11. Financial Statement.

Remarks:

  • * Study programmes not available to exchange students: Law School, Language & Diplomacy, Language & Trade, Communicative Languages, Business College Courses.
  • The receiving institution shall reserve the right to review the exchange enrolment request and make the final decision according the receiving institution’s internal regulations and the legal regulations imposed by the national and/or local authorities.
  • Students take care of the visa on their own in accordance with the procedures of the host country.
  • Students accepted by the receiving institution shall obtain approval for the study programme from the Mobility Coordinator at their home unit at UW. Learning Agreement shall be signed by the student and both institutions within 3 weeks from the beginning of the exchange.
  • Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
  • The documents required by the foreign university should be submitted by the nominated student to the HUFS online registration system by 30.10.2024. Please do not send the documents listed as required by the foreign university to IRO UW.
  • Additional information will be sent to nominated students.
  • Before departure, students accepted by the receiving institution are obliged to conclude an agreement with the University of Warsaw (at the International Relations Office).

Application deadline10 September 2024, until 23:59 Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Application (one e-mail containing all required documents shall be sent to the email address bwz.nabory.wymiana@uw.edu.pl from the candidate’s university email address (§3 Order of the Rector of UW no. 279 from 10th December 2020). Applications sent from other email addresses will not be considered.
