Erasmus – Educational Mobility with Partner Countries (KA171)

This type of project aligns in its goals and management style with the Erasmus Mundus program.

Note: The list of partner countries eligible to participate in the project depends on the specific call for proposals.

Based on the inter-institutional agreements signed by the University and in cooperation with faculty mobility coordinators, the International Relations Office prepares and submits an “Erasmus – Educational Mobility with Partner Countries (KA171)” project proposal to the Foundation for the Development of the Education System each year. This project is often colloquially referred to as the “new Erasmus.” Financial support (scholarships) can be awarded to both incoming and outgoing participants, provided the project includes such provisions.

Based on the funds granted by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, internal competitions are announced, and an individual scholarship agreement is signed with each qualified participant (incoming or outgoing).

Tasks of the International Relations Office at the University of Warsaw in implementing the Erasmus sub-program:

  • At the request of the university authorities, the International Relations Office coordinates, prepares, submits, and financially and substantively settles the “Erasmus – Educational Mobility (KA171) with Partner Countries” project.

The projects include the following types of mobility:

  • Incoming/outgoing students for partial studies (up to 5 months);
  • Incoming/outgoing academic staff for teaching purposes (up to 7 days);
  • Incoming/outgoing university staff for training purposes (up to 7 days).

Candidates (students and staff) apply for scholarships individually at the International Relations Office of their home university within the framework of the competition. Candidates (students and staff) can only apply for scholarships to the partner countries and universities listed in the competition information. Scholarship recipients receive financial support (scholarship and travel costs) paid by the University of Warsaw based on and in accordance with the financial agreement concluded with the Foundation for the Development of the Education System – the National Erasmus+ Agency.
