Global Universities Presidents & Leaders Summit, Hong Kong, China – competition for UW students/PhD students
On 2-3 December 2024, Hong Kong eight Universities with the support of the University Grants Committee and the Hong Kong Association of External Relationships will host the inaugural Global Universities Presidents (Leaders) Summit.
Rectors and presidents and representatives of the student community from 50 globally renowned universities have been invited to attend the event. The theme of the summit is ‘Globalising Knowledge’.
Date and length of stay: 2-3 December 2024 plus travel
Number of places: 2
Who can apply: undergraduate and unified master’s students (completed first year of studies required), graduate students/ UW PhD students
Eligible units/disciplines: students/PhD students with knowledge in one of the eight main topics of the summit:
- globalization of the green economy,
- different cultures and international relationship,
- AI ethics and future education,
- integration of technology in education,
- university governance and innovation,
- international law, order and development,
- AI, mankind and peace,
- science, technology and mankind.
Required documents:
- Consent Form, signed by Head of the Educational Unit (EUH) or Mobility Coordinator (in the case of students) or the Director of the Doctoral School (in the case of PhD students).
- In the case of students: certificate of grade average from the entire period of study, issued by the Student’s Office at the unit (minimum 4,0);
- In the case of PhD students: the opinion of the supervisor.
- Motivation letter justifying the participation in the event.
- Curriculum Vitae in English with a list of achievements, distinctions, awards, information on extracurricular and social activities
- Certificate/proof of the language skills: English – at least B2.
Financial conditions:
- Students / PhD students are exempt from participation fees.
- The costs of stay – travel and accommodation are covered by the organiser.
- The UW Rector has decided to cover the cost of subsistence and commuting allowances.
Remarks:
- Candidates may, at any time, be asked to show original documents providing achievements and received awards.
- Additional information will be sent to nominated candidates.
Application deadline: 22 October 2024, until 23:59 Warsaw time zone. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
